Today’s wedding is super cute and filled with thoughtful, DIY details that really showcase the couple’s interests. Josh and Kyla seem like such a creative and fun couple and Katherine O’Brien did an amazing job capturing their day!

Josh and Kyla are in love with children’s illustrations. They both have tattoos of some of Shel Silverstein’s work, so it was only fitting that they used one of his books as a guest book for people to write their wishes, prayers, and hopes for their marriage in!

This necklace had a very special significance to Josh and Kyla. It was from Josh’s grandmother who lives in Italy. The inscription means, “This is so you always know that I love you more than yesterday, less than tomorrow.” Josh’s grandmother wanted to give the necklace to Kyla to show her love and presence since she couldn’t be at the wedding due to her age.

Kyla bought her bridesmaids these adorable diamond ring mugs. You can find them here.

The fly fishing lures were a meaningful part of the the guy’s boutonnieres. Josh’s grandfather, who passed away a few years ago, taught Josh and all his family how to fly fish. The lures were worn in honor of him.

We love Josh’s mustache socks!

Thanks for featuring our wedding! :)
So glad you are just as excited about it as we were!

so cute! love the details.
I love the idea of using a book they both love as a guest book. I need to think now if there's a book my fiance and I both love that could work for that. I think if anything it would probably be Roald Dahl. The message in BFG is so sweet, plus it talks about people from two different worlds discovering each other's differences and caring for each other, and it's in England. Plus I bought him some Roald Dahl books for Christmas because he'd mentioned he missed them when he got rid of them after he moved. Yes, I'll have to think about this.
Filled with so many gorge details! You can't go wrong with grey and yellow. Love that cake and photo of them and the leaves. Fabulous.
I'm loving this - we are using "The Giving Tree" as our wedding inspiration so this is just perfect! I love the wine labels and am planning on doing the giving tree ones as well.
I love all kinds of tattoos! These are some of my favorites. Thanx
