We really enjoyed our first post on how to re-use wedding decor in your home, so we gathered up more popular wedding items and found ideas for how to incorporate them in your newlywed home! Enjoy.

Doilies

For the wedding: Wrap favors in cotton doilies, via Snippet & Ink.

In the home: Sew doilies together to make a pretty lampshade via Apartment Therapy or a lovely table runner via Sweet Paul.

Polaroids

For the wedding: Have guests take polaroids of themselves and pin them onto twine that you’ve strung up, along with notes for the couple. Via A Southern Soiree.

In the home: Make a heart-shaped collage with the polaroids via Black Eiffel or cover an entire wall with them via Apartment Therapy.

Vintage Books

For the wedding: Stack vintage books on each table as part of your centerpieces, via Green Wedding Shoes

In the home: Bolt stacks of books together to make a stool, via Dezeen (the lamp base is also made out of book pages!), or if that seems too difficult, simply stack the books to make an end table, via Design Esquire.

Tea Tins

For the wedding: Tea tins make adorable vases, via Martha Stewart

In the home: Fill tea tins with wax to make candles via Country Living or turn one into a charming lamp base like this one by iamanie on Etsy

Empty Frames

For the wedding: Frames for photo booth via Kiss the Groom

In the home: Hang them on the wall via Vegreenism or use them to frame objects via Brooklyn Limestone

Birdcages

For the wedding: Hang birdcages above the head table for drama via Ruffled.

In the home: Group them on top of furniture via Apartment Therapy or turn them into charming planters via Just a Little Bit

All great ideas! I have been collecting doilies figuring I can use them for the wedding and still haven't come up with a concrete idea so might steal some of these.

Love this post! We used birdcages and large frames in our weddings, and we are now re-using them in our home in the same ways you shared.

I really love that love seat/chair thing up there! Beautiful piece of furniture!

I can't believe the bolting the books into a stool thing! Who would ruin books like that! :-O
