We both love playing games, and we think they can be fabulous inspiration for a wedding. Here are some of our favorite ideas–hope they inspire you!
1. Scrabble. Using scrabble tiles in weddings is quite the trend right now–for good reason! They are just so cute and versatile. Look for used Scrabble games at thrift stores.

2. Chess. With it’s iconic game pieces and bold black and white palette, chess is a great place to draw inspiration from.

3. Puzzles. Although technically not a “game,” we think puzzles deserve a spot on the list. We like the symbolism of two pieces fitting together perfectly–it seems so appropriate for a wedding!

Puzzle Invitation. Send guests unassembled puzzle pieces that form your invitation or save the date, via Etsy. Or, create a simpler version that links together the invite and rsvp card, via The Sweetest Occasion.

Don’t you think a game-themed wedding would be super fun?

My married last name is Bishop and I really wanted to find a way to incorporate Chess into our wedding somehow but didn't end up doing anything. Love these ideas :)
I love the puzzle invites - awesome!
About 2 days after our engagement shoot the whole board game thing dawned on me as we have a load and my OH shops for old ones in charity shops (we even have a Neighbours board game). I am so gutted I didn't think of it before as it clearly works well.
