Vintage Winter Wedding at Palladium St. Louis

Their Story

t’s officially Spring now, but we couldn’t resist sharing one more beautiful winter wedding! It’s the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The super cool venue (Palladium St. Louis) is a renovated hospital laundry facility from the 1930s. To add a vintage feel, Taylor and Keith collected antique teacups, vases, bottles, and bowls from their mothers, grandmothers, and thrift stores, which they used in their centerpieces and for the cake topper. We absolutely love how it all turned out! Katie Day did an amazing job capturing this gorgeous day.

Here’s a little advice that Taylor was sweet enough to send over:

“If you have a very specific vision for your wedding, as I did for my flowers, it is best to hash out every detail with your florist.  Otherwise, you may think you communicated your ideas well, but your vendor may be on an entirely different page!  It took several conversations with our florist, but our flowers were absolutely perfect. Also, stay true to what you want.  It’s your day!  Don’t let someone pressure you into hiring a videographer if you know you won’t watch the video or persuade you to make an iPod playlist for your reception if you really want a live band.  Be as unique and as different as you want.  Those are the things that will make your day special to you and they’ll be the things you remember years after your wedding.”

Taylor gathered vintage brooches to use in her bouquet, and mixed them with flowers. The different textures are so chic together!

Taylor’s favorite moment of the day was when she and Keith saw each other for the first time. They planned a special time before the ceremony to avoid too many tears. We love first looks, they’re so sweet!

The bridesmaids’ muffs are such a cute way to stay warm for a winter wedding!

Keith wrote all of the music for the ceremony. He composed the arrangements for the processional, Taylor’s entrance, and the recessional, as well as another song which he asked a friend to sing during communion. How romantic and special is that?

We love how they used old kerosene lamps in the centerpieces, as well as all the pretty vintage dishes!

Our hearts started beating a little faster when we saw this swiss dot cake with the teacup topper. So perfect.
