To celebrate this fabulous Thursday I am sharing a charming country wedding sent to us by Glass Jar Photography. Lynne and Brent both love the outdoors. Lynne is a forester and Bryan is a wildlife biologist, so it was only fitting that they get married outside! Their love for the outdoors didn’t stop at the location, it carries through the whole DIY wedding at The Farm in Rome, GA.
DIY Wedding at The Farm ~ Bride Comments
Her is what the bride herself had to say about her wedding day: “As far as favorite moment, it would be as we walked down the aisle together at the end of the ceremony. The best decisions I made was to hire the wedding coordinator. I knew I wanted to do all of the planning and DIY things, but it was worth it to have some one run the rehearsal and do all of the setup and coordinating on the day of. My advice is to do things like you want and not worry too much about what other people think or want. It is your wedding. Also, don’t sweat the small stuff. No one else will ever know that something went wrong unless you tell them. All of my friends were amazed at how calm I was that weekend. I decided at that point it was too late to worry about anything and all of the details were in the wedding coordinators hands. And most of all, have fun. It was a weekend we will always remember.”
The guest took a wagon ride out to the ceremony location.
Lynne’s mom made all the napkins, which they turned out great!
Along with a yummy cake, the guest were also treated to homemade peach and apple pies. Aren’t they cute all wrapped up?
Brent made the cake stand and Lynne made the cake topper!
