Both of us come from fun, loving families, when we saw Leanna and Kenny’s wedding our hearts pitter-pattered a little faster because that was what their wedding theme was. We are also loving the photography by Two Ring Studios.
Here is a little tidbit from the bride: “We quickly realized that one thing we have in common is large, loud, and loving families, so when we planned our wedding we wanted to include them in every aspect. We had our ceremony at the gazebo in the backyard of my parents home, where my father and both of his brothers also had their weddings. The ceremony was conducted entirely by family members, including my father and great-uncle as officiates. My brothers performed the music, Kenny’s sister did the reading, and his grandfather said a blessing. Everyone pitched in to get things ready. The dancing at our reception was in a pavilion originally built by my grandfather and later restored by my father. My uncles helped build the doorway for the ceremony and do landscaping.”
“We used wedding photos of our family members throughout the decor to connect our wedding and marriage to the history and heritage of everyone that came before us. I honored my mother, who died when I was a teenager, with a small display of her wedding portrait and some of her favorite books. Kenny and I were English majors and lovers of literature, so we used books in all of our decor, including the boutonnieres and garlands made from book pages. The books in our centerpieces were collected by my mother or passed down from relatives. The glass bottles and antiques were also gathered from family members.”
