Origami Themed Wedding, Chris and Jennifer
Today we are sharing a beautiful origami themed wedding that is full of sentimental elements and unique decor! This is what the event stylist, Michelle of Utah Events by Design had to say:
“Chris and Jennifer’s had an origami themed wedding because it is an aspect of their heritage. Jennifer is Japanese and it was important to her and Chris to include the Japanese tradition called Senbazuru in their wedding. Senbazuru is an ancient Japanese legend that promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane. Jen’s mother single-handedly folded the 1,000 paper cranes and as the folder, she therefore wished for Chris and Jen to have a long, happy marriage.”
“Chris received both of his degrees from the Ohio State University, and is a huge fan of his alma mater. His sole request for the wedding was that he could wear a scarlet and grey striped bow tie (Ohio’s colors). Jen loved the idea, and thus based the wedding color pallet around Chris’ bowtie.”
