DIY Barn Wedding in Issaquah, Washington
Where do we begin? Jenni and David had a dream wedding in Issaquah, Washington. Not only was the photography by Angela and Evan fabulous, but all the little details came out perfect!
Who could describe the day better than Jenni herself:
“My gown was the first and easiest decision. I fell in love and knew it was the dress before I even saw it in person. The blush color also turned out to be far more flattering than the traditional white or ivory gowns because of my fair complexion. The Vera Wang gown became the inspiration that directed all other wedding decor and apparel choices. Most of the decor details were hand-made by myself, our family members and our close friends. We spent a whole year collecting mason jars, old books and other antique touches from family members, yard sales and estate sales.”
The Wedding Cake
“The wedding cake was made and decorated by the my childhood best friend and matron of honor. The floral arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres were done all created by her mother. My father collected salvaged barn wood to make signs, boxes and a beautiful easel for the dinner menu. The hair accessories, men’s ties, guest book and bunting banners were custom designed and made by an Etsy artist. The whole wedding process was a lot of work and very time consuming but in the end it was really special to have every detail be so personal and meaningful. We had a wonderful time collaborating with our friends and family which made it all worth it.”
