Yellow and green are still big players in weddings. I love the color combination especially with flowers. Erin did a fabulous job pulling together a stunning wedding with amazing watercolor table numbers, a unique seating chart, and a gorgeous dress!
Some words from Erin: “Jonathan propsed to me in our home, after we had been together for 5 years, with just us two (and our dog and cat) present. He had spent so much time working with the jeweler all the way in Los Angeles to make sure my ring represented me, and my aesthetic. The proposal was perfect and intimate, and very indicative of the wedding we would create together.
“We wanted our wedding to represent us as a couple; everything from the flowers to the beer selection. A ballroom wedding was not for us, so discovering Rancho Del Cielo was a dream come true. The home is incredibly serene, calming, and warm; much alike the owners Jill and Sparky.
“We were greeted with smiles and the world’s best biscotti and espresso! We moved to DC in 2010, but knew we would always have the wedding out in the LA area, and Rancho del Cielo completely embraced the Californian, laid-back atmosphere we grew up with.”
“Our goal for the style of the wedding was to make sure every detail reflected the two of us: our tastes, personality, and style. Being an interior designer, I was confident that I would be able to design and create a lot for the wedding (also helped the budget). I was able to incorporate my love of watercolor into the favors and table numbers, and put that art school education to good use making the guest book and save-the-dates!”
“My mom is also talented with crocheting and sewing, and graciously created an 8′ square top for the chuppah, as well as the table runners. The wedding design elements were really a team effort, and I think those details were able to shine through to the guests. Of course, we couldn’t have had the day we had without all of our amazing vendors as well! Our wedding day went incredibly smoothly and without any issues — or at least none that I was aware of!”
