I hope everyone is enjoying their extra long weekend and if you had to work then I hope the Easter bunny brought you extra chocolates! Todays wedding is a total flash back moment bringing me right back to Camp Potlatch in grade 6. It’s funny how smells, music and pictures can do that to you. With the lake, cabins, canoes, green space and of course no camp would be complete without a the giant mess hall, this bride was able to turn this summer camp into the perfect offbeat, vintage, pretty little wedding. It reminded me that no matter where you have your wedding, remember what you both are about as a couple and incorporate those little details into your day.
Vintage Inspired Maine Summer Camp Wedding
Photographer’s Remarks: “Zaki and Chris’s offbeat, vintage inspired Maine summer camp wedding took place in Zaki’s hometown. it was at an idyllic little summer camp tucked away in western Maine. Zaki was so creative in planning her wedding – she did all of her details herself. She had her friends help out with the florals and it all just fell into place so wonderfully.”
Look carefully at the table numbers and Mr. & Mrs. sign. Don’t you remember doing that in art class? She used wax candle and then painted right over with water color. What a great rustic artsy DIY.
This lovely bride even sourced out her own vintage plates and décor from thrift stores around Maine. Smart girl!
