They had us at ‘Maggie Sottero’ and the rest of these lovely photos are an added bonus! A stunning styled shoot shot in Austin, Texas, at a unique venue called Palm Door on Sixth Street. Special meaning behind all the added details makes this a real salute to the city’s culture and vibe.
Photographer’s Comments: “We chose a venue on sixth street, the heartbeat of Austin’s night life. The color palette includes some soft pastels you would find in the beautiful Hill Country mixed with some bolder colors to remind us of the Austin vibe. There are lots of wood elements that are reminiscent of Austin’s love for all things outdoors paired with vintage pieces reminiscent of the rich history of our city.”
Remarks from VIVID Events: “This shoot was inspired by a romantic fall love story and influenced by the traditional Southern feel of our state capital paired with the trendy downtown feel of the Palm Door On Sixth. Austin is a city that encompasses a relaxed vibe, exciting and fun, yet full of history and timeless tradition. The 6th Street location was one of the main factors in our venue selection: the backdrop of the city skyline breathes romance and excitement. A relaxed outdoor space was a must as fall is the season I wait for year round as it yields mild weather and nights outdoors with friends.”
We adore these unique wedding boutonnieres wrapped with blue ribbon and made from pink rose, purple flowers, hypercum berry and eucalyptus leaves (above).
Can you say gorgeous! A stunning bride wearing a lace edge veil, Maggie Sottero gown, and a marquise shaped yellow gold engagement ring (below).
VIVID Events continues, “I love the feminine lace of the gorgeous mermaid Maggie Sottero gown and its soft peach undertones. Although the dress brings an immense amount of wow-factor on its own, we brought in a breathtaking lace-trimmed veil to add a bit more drama. We wanted the hair and make-up to be sensual offering up the promise of romance.”
“Lovely Leaves designed floral arrangements from a combination of romantic Juliet roses coupled with earthy artichokes, silver brunia and astilbe perfect for the fall season. The color palette included pastels peach, blush and lavender paired with deeper tones of navy, natural greens and purples bringing in more of the fall feel. The to-die-for collection of traditional pieces for our outdoor lounge area including the mauve velvet chair and the tufted ivory sofa from Swoon was perfect for the feel and color scheme.”
“Textures and patterns from the pinstripe seat covers on the antique cane back chairs and the woven place mats on the wooden farm table were hand-selected to set the table. The Swoon team went above and beyond bringing a huge trailer packed to the brim of one-of-a-kind treasures. Butter-cream white and pink cakes by Lily’s Cakes on a vintage white buffet, blush champagne and simple, pretty stationery from Studio W Designs were the perfect finishing touches. We were honored to have Mylah from Eureka Photography capture breathtaking images of all of our hard work.”
