I have been a radio station listener for many years. I feel like every time I switch on the radio, there is at least one diamond company advertisement with a catchy jingle that inevitably gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day! The power of repetitive advertising at its best …That’s when I got the idea for this post, written in collaboration with Vashi.
We are made to believe that when the time comes to go ring browsing/shopping with your spouse, that you are suppose to head straight to above mentioned high street retailers. Don’t forget, these shops on 5th Avenue (New York), Bond Street (London), or Main Street (Your Town) pay prime dollar for their retail space, catchy radio jingles, air time, and loads of attentive employees.
I am a self confessed shopaholic. I think it is fun to go to diamond ring stores and try the $10,000+ rock on my finger to see how it sparkles and feels. However, why should you or I pay for overhead and expensive upkeep of some high street business?
I recently partnered with Vashi – a company that cuts out middle men (i.e., wholesalers, dealers, or high street) and connects consumers directly with diamond mines and diamond cutters. That means Vashi is able to pass savings on to engagement ring buyers. Fabulous!
Vashi ensures that their diamonds are conflict free and hand selected with high standards. In addition, each diamond has a minimum quality standard:
- Cut grade – minimum “Very Good”
- Color grade – minimum “I”
- Clarity grade – minimum “SI1”
I am all about halo rings. They are the perfect mix of vintage and uniqueness.
When my husband bought my halo engagement ring, it came with the option of buying the matching wedding band which had a moon shaped notch so that both rings would sit properly side to side. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this feature, because it make the rings look like they truly belong together.
Vashi offers the same style of wedding bands, which allow your halo engagement ring to sit right against the band. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the market for a halo engagement ring.
Vashi also have an online tool that allows you to create a bespoke engagement ring. I like this feature because it makes you part of the process and that YOU are creating something special for the one you love most.
