Today’s bride and groom are keen festival goers and surfers. A free spirited, humanist celebrant led the outdoor ceremony on Bellhaven Beach in Dunbar, Scotland.
One of many highlights of the day included a fly over from The Red Arrows, who created a heart shape in the skies above – totally unplanned – just when the couple were taking portraits after the ceremony.
The celebrations continued at The Tynninghame Village Hall. The interior of the Scottish reception hall was welcoming with whimsical and hand made details by the couple and their friends. Colorful bunting, sunflower centerpieces, and many other wonderfully rustic decorations can be seen below.

Of course the groom wore a traditional Scottish kilt as part of his wedding ceremony attire!
Fantastic heart shaped skywriting with newlyweds kissing right in the middle – so romantic!
Scotland is one of those wedding destinations you might not think about for a beach wedding. As you can see below, there are vast stretches of sandy beach to say “I-do,” followed by a reception at a historic stone hall, castle, or other venue worthy of a wedding in Scotland.
Sunflowers always brighten a rainy day with some yellow cheer — apparently they make for a fantastic cake adornment or sunflower wedding centerpieces too (above).
The rustic theme extended from the old stone hall into a marquee tent setup outside, dressed with haystack seating and other appropriately themed decorations.
