First I want to say a belated Merry Christmas 2016 and Happy New Year 2017! It seems that Love & Lavender went on a hiatus for awhile … indulging in a little too much Christmas season cheer.
I know, I know. The wedding blog has been a bit light on content lately, but that is going to change over the next few months.
But first, a toast as we recognize the fact that this little wedding blog is celebrating it’s 7th Birthday!

Sorry, but the photo budget is sparse these days due to above mentioned content production. You’ll just have to imagine a chocolate frosted cake with strawberries and whipping cream on top. Besides, the fire side photo is sure to keep you warm on these cold winter days.
The past three years has seen the site go from new ownership blogging newbies to seasoned wedding media professionals ready to give you all the wedding content goodies that you can consume — without the sugar hangover!
I’m not going to make blind promises about a huuuuge pipeline of wedding content in the works… but that is the ultimate plan.
We want to give you as much helpful planning advice, wedding guides, product reviews, and other amazing content that you are begging us to stop. I want to hear you scream in your best bridal voice, “I’m drowning, please turn off the content spigot!”
The goal: give away as much free information as we can to as many brides and grooms as possible.
You know, ever since crafting our butterfly manifesto just over a year ago, it has spurred Love & Lavender into action. We realized that we need to produce a lot more than just real weddings & styled shoots to keep our audience (and ourselves) fulfilled.
We also saw the need to have a true voice in this massive and fragmented wedding industrial complex. And make no mistake about it, the wedding market is B-I-G business employing many tens of thousands of people throughout America and the world. Both small and large businesses work to delight, surprise, and ultimately deliver on YOUR WEDDING DAY DREAM.
That’s why we are here too. It’s why we do what we do, day in and day out. Running a wedding blog has enabled Meredith and I to contribute in ways we never thought possible to the lives of brides and grooms.
Sometimes I look back on past accomplishments for this blog and say to myself, “Sure, it may sound trivial that I helped a bride or groom for one day.” But you know what … that is a pretty momentous day in that one person’s life. In fact, it is THE day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
All that to say, we are truly here for you. We want to give as much useful information and advice to as many newlyweds-to-be as we possibly can.
2017 is an exciting year for Love & Lavender. We aim to redefine and grow our brand to new heights. One initial step is launching a new theme to coincide with the website’s birthday! We think the new look is pretty spiffy.
We hope you take your wedding journey with us, and we look forward to serving you as best we can.
All the best,
Owners of Love & Lavender Weddings Inc.
