“Tracy (from Sugar By Tracy) and I decided we wanted to get away from the cold Canadian winter and travel south to the United States for a bit of a break. We reached out to some vendors in Palm Springs, CA and started planning a shoot!
“We knew we wanted to incorporate a bit of where we’re from, so we included another fellow Canadian vendor too. Tracy actually deigned the cake and made it back home in Alberta and we flew it down to Palm Springs on a plane! We wanted to show that destination weddings can be all hat you’ve ever dreamed of and that working with vendors in another country isn’t all that hard!
“This project for us was definitely about more than just pretty pictures. We’re so fortunate to have found this team that communicated so well with us and really understood our vision. We complimented each other so well.”
“Sugar By Tracy designed the four tier confection with a touch of soft lace detailing reminiscent of our Olvi’s Lace gown. The bas relief technique she used mimicked the design perfectly! The loose flowing ruffles on the cake added a sense of movement while the fresh florals added the finishing touch.”
“The romantic springtime wedding inspiration shoot took place at the Avalon Hotel. We took inspiration from the 2017 Pantone colors pale dogwood and greenery.
“The event planner and floral team pulled our vision together by combining just the perfect amount of springtime florals and rustic elements. The farmhouse table was a great contrast to the garden like decor of the table top. The floral chandelier installation was completed on site and was one of my favorite elements of the shoot!”
“Our invitation suite again pulled inspiration from this year’s colors. The details in the suite matched the colors of the florals perfectly.”
