Vendor Crew FAQ

Listing Basics

“How do you choose to accept applicants into the Vendor Crew?”

Love & Lavender made a decision to focus on our readership and locations where most of our real weddings are featured. This includes US states such as: California, Oregon, Washington, and Texas. We want to make sure that members of our Vendor Crew fit with the style of the Love & Lavender Vendor Guide. Of course, all applicants that are denied will be notified as to why and will be given an opportunity to re-apply in the future.

“How long will my listing stay active?”

A Yearly subscription is valid for 365 days from the date that the listing is published. A Monthly subscription is valid for 30 days from the date that the listing is published.

Publication happens once we approve and then receive payment. As soon as your listing is published, an email notification will be sent to the email address provided including a URL link to your listing along with start and end date.

“How can I get more visibility for my listing?”

Each new vendor will be featured in an introductory article on our homepage. In addition, you can always request a media kit for additional advertising options. Don’t forget that your Vendor Crew comes with an advertising discount of up to 25% off!

“Can I update my listing?”

Absolutely. We know that you may need to update your photos, description, or other information during the year. Two changes are included for each 365 day listing period.

Listing Details

“What is the blog featured slider?”

Any Vendor Crew (monthly or annual) have the opportunity for their company logo and a short description or advertisement to be placed on our blog page (directly below our main navigation menu) in the featured slider carousel for a time period of one week. Space is limited and there is an additional fee. You can provide us with copy for your advertisement, or we can use our own headline and description – it is up to you! Generally, we will pick the date that your featured advertisement will go live on the homepage. However, if you have a specific date that you would like to start the feature on the homepage (and it is available), we will work to accommodate your needs.

“Do you have a Vendor Badge or Button?”

We are working on it! For now, please see our “as featured on” vendor badges

“Who writes my listing copy?”

Generally it is up to you to determine how you want your vendor listing to be written. If you are feeling stuck or need help, you can always reach out and email us.

Payment

“What types of payment do you accept?”

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express & PayPal payment. We only accept payments online so we will not be able to accept a purchase order, take a check or take any orders over the phone.

“I operate in more than one city. Can I purchase an additional city listing?”

Vendor Crew on a yearly plan may purchase one additional vendor city at any time. We suggest purchasing at sign up as updates are only valid for the duration of your yearly listing publication. The cost is $30. Placement on cover pages not guaranteed for extra city. Listing will show on page search results with priority of plan chosen.

“What is your refund policy?”

Yearly plans are sold for a 365 day period and will remain published until the expiry date. Monthly plans are sold for a 30 day period and will remain published until the expiry date. We do not offer refunds on either yearly or monthly plans.

We guarantee that your listing will be posted in the correct category and city along with all photos and narrative you provide. We cannot guarantee how many clicks you will receive.

Renewals

“How much does it cost to renew my listing?”

We offer a discounted rate of 25% off yearly renewals.

Renewal prices are only valid on yearly subscriptions for current customers.

“When I renew my listing, does it get bumped to the top of my category page?”

Yes. You will be bumped up to any category page for which you are registered.

“What happens when I renew my listing?”

A listing renewal is like starting fresh – except you get a nice discount on the price! You may change/update any part of your listing when you renew. Also, depending on your plan you will be bumped back to the top of the category and/or city page.

Locations

“I am a vendor who can travel to multiple areas. Which locations should I choose?”

If you are able to travel and service more than one area (for example, you are a photographer in Seattle but can also travel to Chicago), then your best bet is to upgrade and purchase an additional city listing for a small fee.

“Where will my listing appear?”

Your listing will appear under your chosen city and category. Our wedding vendor guide is linked through our main navigation bar under “Start Here” and is accessible from every Love & Lavender webpage. In addition, it is the primary link on www.loveandlavender.com with a prominent button titled, “Start Planning Your Wedding”.

“How will my location be shown?”

Our Wedding Vendor Guide is focused on select locations that cater to a huge population of readers from that area. We chose to include the following cities and states:

  • Washington – Seattle
  • California – Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco (and more)
  • Texas – Austin, (Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio Coming Soon)

Please understand that we want to provide value to our vendors and have chosen to limit our locations to those listed above. If your state or city is not currently listed in our wedding vendor guide, it may be in the future if we are able to justify adding additional locations. If you are located close enough that a bride and groom could still access your business (or you can travel to the wedding location) then please choose the appropriate city.

Online Vendor Crew

“I have an online business and a brick and mortar store. Which Vendor Crew should I choose?”

You are considered an online vendor if you primarily ship physical products worldwide or are considered listed in the following categories:

  • Jewelry
  • Accessories
  • Bridal Fashion
  • Groom & Groomsmen
  • Registry
  • Invitations and Paper Goods
  • Wedding Favors and Decor Items

“If I am an Online Vendor, what location(s) will my listing show?”

Online Wedding Vendor Crew have their own dedicated vendor guide located on Love & Lavender at: https://www.loveandlavender.com/vendors/

In addition, Online Vendor Crew can be displayed on one city page of their choosing for an added fee. The fee depends on which city you choose.

For example, maybe you sell wedding jewelry online through your own website or an Etsy store, and you want to sign up as an Online Vendor Crew. Your listing will display in the online vendor section along with the jewelry category page (https://www.loveandlavender.com/vendors/online-wedding-jewelry). For an additional fee, you could choose to add your listing to a city page such as Seattle.

“Do Online Vendors Automatically show on City Pages ?”

Unlike brick and mortar vendors who receive either one city upon listing, online vendors are not listed on city pages as part of any vendor crew plan. As above, for an additional fee you may be listed on a city page.
