Vancouver Island is home to the amazing Hatley Castle on Royal Roads University land. It was built in 1908 and designed by the Dunsmuir to serve as a dormitory and mess hall for the Royal Roads Military college. This beautiful Victorian structure is and now considered as an heritage building and home to many weddings including destination weddings.
Photographer’s Remarks: “The location inspired us to do a very simple boho styled wedding portrait photo shoot and keep the focus on this romantic couple, the castle and the surrounding of the castle including a beach near by and the amazing soft warm light.
“This styled photo shoot has an soft appealing vintage feel to it with this amazing lace Calla Blanche gown from the Très Chic Bridal boutique and a pastel hand crafted bouquet from Cultivated with locally sourced flowers from Christin’s lush garden.
“Romantic, loving, fun and inspired by the beauty of the surrounding, this is the perfect wedding inspiration for a local or destination wedding on Vancouver Island on a summer day or warm indian summer. Feel the love, be romantic and add a touch of bohemian for the perfect intimate wedding!”
