Styled Shoot Story

Don’t you just love going to the local flea market and antique stores to snoop and see what there is to find?  You can always be sure to find an item or two that might need a little TLC, or you might strike gold and find a treasure with no assembly required. Either way, it is always fun to go and see what there is to be had!

What better way to spend an afternoon than an outdoor picnic with flea market and antique store finds. We’re starting this week off with a delightful party thrown by Rosie of Simply Rosie Photography! She and her friend Rosella gathered everything from flea markets, antique stores, and thrift stores and planned all the details for a creative “Thankful for Friends” party. They did an amazing job!

Rosie’s friend Bethy of Eden Photography also came to the party, so we’ve included some of her shots as well!

Guests were welcomed by a chalkboard sign and a bird cage full of favors that held lavender scented rice sachets with the names of all the guests attached!

The table was crafted out of an old barn door by Rosie’s husband! An assortment of rustic and shabby chic chairs and a few old benches were arranged around the table for the guests to sit on. Rosie and Rosella decorated the area with red and yellow tissue paper pom poms and a burlap banner with fabric rosettes attached.

The place settings were an assortment of plates, saucers, and coffee mugs found at thrift stores. To complete them, Rosie tied up vintage napkins, berries, and cinnamon sticks with twine.

The menu was all home baked goodies: chocolate chip cookies, brownies, apple pies, butter pecan tarts, raspberry ribbon cookies, and pumpkin tarts! They also served coffee fresh out of a french press, cold milk in antique milk jars, and tropical punch!

Rosella and Rosie also added cute vintage stamped labels and flags to all the food. They even antiqued the paper themselves!

The photobooth is our favorite detail. We love the daybed with the sheer canopy, and the props were absolutely perfect too! Rosella sewed most of the pillows herself and they added a few old quilts and a backdrop made with wood from the same barn as the table!

To complete the photobooth, Rosie and Rosella added old books, cameras and a box of candies for the guests to enjoy while lounging on the daybed. The guests used Rosie’s instapix mini to snap self portraits or group shots, complete with mustaches on sticks! Then, they used mini clothespins to attach their pictures onto a tree!

Thanks ladies for sharing this adorable party with us!

You really make it seem really easy together with your presentation however I to
find this topic to be really one thing which I believe I might by
no means understand. It seems too complicated
and extremely wide for me. I’m having a look forward in your subsequent post, I will attempt to get the hang of it!

Excellent blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on
everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused .. Any recommendations? Thanks!
