Wedding Story

Bride & Groom’s Wedding Day as told by Cory Ryan Photography

Sarah & Cameron’s Memorial Day weekend wedding happened to coincide with the infamous storms and floods in Austin. Amidst a pretty crazy weather day, I love how they took it all in stride and were up for anything!

We worked really hard to get some amazing images that they will love forever, and the wedding was raging success anyway! Sarah and the girls started with hair and make-up at Milk & Honey Salon, followed by the couple’s first look at the new hotel – the JW Marriott, Austin.

The couple had a moment of privacy in their room where Cameron got to see Sarah for the first time. Then we all adventured up to the amazing pool area for some portraits with the stunning downtown Austin views, rain and all.

That’s what umbrellas at a wedding are for, right? :)

The ceremony was moved inside at the adorably unique Waller Creek Boathouse (located right on Town Lake), where Sarah & Cameron tied the knot underneath giant light-up letters that spelled out LOVE – how sweet!

I loved that the guests enjoyed the ceremony from their dinner seats – genius. A delicious dinner was served by Royal Fig Catering, followed by passed desserts.

The couple was able to enjoy their first dances outside under the deck tent, before the heavy rain and winds moved in. Guests and the groom himself helped Live Oak DJ quickly move indoors and escape damage, so the late night dance party could begin!

On their way out, guests enjoyed Cool Haus custom made ice cream cookie sandwiches before being shuttled back to the hotel where Sarah works!

You can tell from the big smiles on Sarah & Cameron’s faces that the weather didn’t keep them from having the happiest day of their lives at their Waller Creek Boathouse wedding!

Gorgeous! I love how they let the rain work with them – that shot of them with the umbrella is so sweet and beautiful. And then the starry theme of the reception is adorable!
