Old, New, Borrowed, Blue. Did you follow that tradition?
“I would say that my something new was my amazing wedding dress, as well as a hanker chief that my mom’s best friend gave to me. My ‘Something Old, Something Borrowed and Something Blue’ was an antique ring of my grandmother’s, that I wore on my right ring finger. It meant a lot to my grandmother that I chose to wear her piece jewelry.”
Did you do a first look before the ceremony?
“We did do a first look before the ceremony. My husband always wanted to do a first look, so that we could enjoy more time at the party, but I was unsure. However, during our initial meeting with our photographer, Pepper, she really influenced my decision and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. It was so special to have that intimate moment together before I walked down the aisle in front of all of our guests. The First Look pictures was one of my favorite parts of the day. It got a lot of the nerves out of the way, and we were able to participate in the fun celebration after!”

“I wanted to make the wedding programs fans, and they turned out wonderfully. We also had a “wedding Bell” on everyone’s chair with a poem that read “Ring this wedding bell loud when the bride and groom first kiss, and share their joyful wedding bliss!” It was wonderful to hear all of the wedding bells ringing when we shared in our first kiss.”
How did you pick your aisle escort?
“Although it is customary for the father of the bride to walk down the aisle, I really wanted both of my parents to share that special moment with me. They have both been such an important part of my life and have influenced who I am today, so I wanted to walk down with both of them.”
Who was your dress designer and where did you buy your dress?
“Mark Zunino and I bought it at Kleinfelds in New York City. This was a fun experience because all my siblings and I were all with my mom in NYC celebrating her 60th birthday. My mom has always loved the show ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ and we were all thrilled when we got a last minute appointment at the famous Kleinfeld Bridal. I only tried on 4 dresses and knew my favorite dress right away.”
