Wedding Story
Bride’s Comments: “Adam and I met in grade school. He was going to physical therapy for his torn ACL injury from football and my best friend at the time was also in physical therapy. She told me about Adam Hollar and I knew exactly who she was talking about. He was in high school and I was in the 8th grade.
“At the time, Yahoo Messenger was really popular and I decided to reach out to Adam one day.
“We started up a conversation and we have been inseparable ever since. Our parents, however, were not too fond about the age difference (almost 3 years apart), so we didn’t officially start dating until I was in high school, which was about 8 months after our first yahoo messenger conversation.
“Adam and I have been together for 9 years.”
“Adam proposed to me at our annual Christmas cookie baking day at his grandparent’s house. It was December 13, 2015 and I was icing cookies. Adam called me over to the Christmas tree to look at an ornament that read, ‘We’re engaged!’ with the date and our names. It was full blown tears for everyone in the room. I can usually read Adam but I had no idea we were getting engaged that day!”
