Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Carolyn and Fergal’s wedding breaks the mold when it comes to a wedding’s color palette: it covers the whole spectrum! A rainbow of flowers of all shapes and sizes fill cute colorful jars on the farm tables that are set with cornflower blue table runners.
“The delicious farm to table food got in on the game with a beautifully arranged cheese board filled with jams, Vermont cheeses, and more flowers, with pops of magenta beet puree under handmade ricotta gnocchi for an appetizer. Individual strawberry shortcakes and fruit tarts made for a perfect summertime dessert in July.
“As guests in Adirondack chairs watched, even the weather participated with a gorgeous sunset cascading a pink-orange glow over the valley of green fields, finally settling below Lake Champlain’s horizon.
“Other details you don’t want to miss is Carolyn’s bouquet, her vintage wedding ring, and the kid’s station filled with bubbles, pipe cleaners, colored pencils, and paper, which turned out to be the cutest way for Carolyn and Fergal to receive their very first wedding present.”
Bridal Q & A
How did you choose your venue?
(Bride): “We live on the West coast, but Carolyn’s family is on the East coast and Fergal’s family is in Ireland. Vermont was the best location logistically and perfect for a summer wedding. Carolyn’s parents told us about All Souls Interfaith Gathering which is a short walk from her family home in Shelburne.
“The wedding site is located in the meadows where she used to picnic in the summer and cross-country ski in the winter. We were blown away by the panoramic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. After one visit we knew it was perfect for us!
“The wedding day was amazing- a beautiful ceremony in the sanctuary followed by an outdoor reception with family and friends enjoying the festive July evening and a gorgeous sunset over the lake.”
