Danae & Leonardo

Colorful Wedding at Schmidt Family Vineyards

Grants Pass, OR

Romantic Semi Formal Traditional

L&L Remarks

We’re so excited to start this week with a fun, colorful vineyard wedding full of personal touches. Danae and Leo put a lot of thought into all the details, incorporating elements of their relationship, cultural background, and family memories. Amanda K Photography did a great job behind the lens!

Wedding Story

Bride’s Remarks:

“Music brought Leo and I together!  We really wanted to incorporate that throughout our day. We had the songs that meant most to us playing during the first look.  The processional music was chosen for specific reasons.  My grandma walked down to the song she walked down the aisle to at my mom’s wedding.  The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to a song that I played for my dad growing up.   And my sister played a song very special to us on the piano while I walked down the aisle. A moment I will never forget.

“In the cocktail hour and throughout the day we wanted to incorporate Brazil, where Leo is from.  Bosanova music was played in the background, while caiprinhas, the drink of Brazil, were being served to all the guests.  Our cupid Sara Dee, the reason why we met, wrote and sang our first dance song.  Music has meant so much to us throughout our relationship and we wanted to share that with the people we love.

“We wanted to create a vintage and intimate setting with modern twists. Jane Productions did an incredible job, bringing everything that we talked about and more to life.  The flavors of the cakes were all chosen because of their meaning to us.  Red velvet was a favorite of my grandfather’s and now is Leo’s, chocolate cake with caramel frosting was a household favorite and requested at almost every birthday, and banana cake is Leo’s mother’s specialty.

“My uncle, the chef, made absolutely amazing food and was even able to bring the detail from our invitation onto our plate (heart with d and l) with puff pastry.  There was so much thought put into every detail of the wedding from us and everyone involved.

“Above all we wanted to include our loved ones throughout the day.  Our day was full of love and support from everyone.  From my sister playing the piano while I walked down the aisle, to our close friends making and designing the cake, to my uncle being the head chef and creating the menu, to Sara Dee writing and singing our first dance song.  We wanted to create an atmosphere so that everyone could feel the kind of love that Leo and I share for each other and have always received from our loved ones.”

Amanda K did an amazing job capturing the love between this couple and their families. My design elements were showcased and caught perfectly. After months of working with this lovely couple on the little details of their design….it was a pleasure to see it all come to life! Congrats Danae and Leo!
