Kelly & Anthony

Elegant Fall Wedding with Pumpkin Pie Pops

Campbell, CA

Elegant Romantic Rustic

L&L Remarks

I feel like it has been a long winter and I am very much looking forward to summer! Especially after being in the mall this weekend and seeing all the bright colors and patterns starting to make appearances.  Feeling cooped up inside for so long, I was immediately drawn to this elegant fall wedding with orange and red colors, playing in the leaves, and breathing in the crisp fall air.

Plus, there may or may not be scrumptious pumpkin pie pops! Such a great dessert idea for a wedding in the fall.

Wedding Story

Bride’s Comments: “We both love Fall so it was fall-themed, and it was the only time we could get married anyway with Anthony’s job, so it worked out! We also love the outdoors so the wedding venue at Nestldown was perfect for us. It gave us that comforting, fall feel.

“Our concept was sort of rustic with an elegant twist. We brought in pumpkins (some that we grew ourselves) for part of the décor and had blankets and hot cider for guests.”

“To continue the fall comfort theme, we had all kinds of comfort food served at stations…from Italian style (since Anthony is Italian) to fried chicken and mashed potatoes. With a few healthy options thrown in there ;) Another fall option that we served was pork with apple chutney. For dessert we had a small cake for the traditional cutting. Since we don’t love cake, there were different flavors of pie pops that also went with the fall theme.”

“Another element that we added to the reception were the table numbers. Each number had a meaning behind it. For example, we had table number 5 and below the number, it said ‘our favorite Harry Potter book, The Order of the Phoenix.’ Either that or I counted the days we were engaged and used that as a table number!

“Another idea we added to the wedding was our dog. Although she wasn’t actually in the wedding, we had our signature harvest cocktail named after her – the Sheya. Also, our cake had a miniature figurine of her peeking out of the bottom.”
